We are a non-profit organization passionately dedicated to improving awareness and prevention in the field of oncological diseases. Our main focus is testicular cancer, which is unfortunately still little known and underestimated in terms of prevention. We believe that early diagnosis and thorough prevention are key to saving lives and improving the quality of life of patients.

Our Mission

Raising awareness

We fight against stigmatization and spread information about this disease to help men recognize the symptoms and seek medical help in time.

Supporting prevention

We are committed not only to educating at-risk groups and the general public about this disease and the need for regular monthly self-examination, but also to educating professionals so that prevention becomes a common topic during preventive examinations and beyond.

Expertise, experience, and commitment to helping

Zdravie v hrsti, n.o. (English: Health in Hands) is headed by two renowned doctors and oncologists: Assoc. prof. Katarina Rejlekova, MD, PhD., and Assoc. prof. Michal Chovanec, MD, PhD. Both work at the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava, where they treat testicular cancer and other oncological diseases.

Thanks to their extensive international experience and close cooperation with leading institutes and universities in the field, they are recognized experts in their field. In addition to clinical practice, they are actively involved in the development and research of state-of-the-art treatment methods and are leaders in innovations in the treatment of testicular cancer in Slovakia and abroad.

Our team also includes patients and their loved ones who are affected by this disease. Based on their experience with this disease, they understand the challenges faced by patients and their families. Through their initiative, they want to contribute to improving awareness, prevention, and support for patients with testicular cancer.
